We quickly learned the benefit of having an outsider to come into the practice every +/- three or so years to evaluate overall efficiency. Advantage Administration, Inc. came to us highly recommended by a number of practices that were similar to our own. Advantage conducted a clinical, human resource and financial assessment of our practice that was very impressive. We found the key findings and recommendations generated from the assessment to be very thorough, useful, practical, implementable and cost effective.
We were so impressed with Advantage’s ability to identify areas of improvement during the assessment that we decided to hire Advantage as the interim CEO. In this capacity, Advantage assisted us with the implementation of their recommendations. Advantage also reorganized our personnel functions and created job descriptions–which provided valuable compliance training and updated our personnel records. Advantage also improved our performance appraisal process by implementing a pay for performance program for the staff. They developed and implemented systems of accountability at every level within the practice.
Advantage also made dramatic improvements in the way we schedule and use our time during clinical operations. They reengineered our clinic flow, allowing us to significantly improve customer service and improve productivity for the physicians and the staff. We found that after the implementation of their clinic flow recommendations, we would routinely finish one to two hours earlier each day. This has allowed us to add new patients to the schedule and enhance our bottom-line for our practice. Advantage also planned, developed and implemented an extensive budget for us. This process lowered many of our routine operating expenses. They also provided us with an evaluation of various software programs for scheduling, billing and electronic medical records operations. This included an extensive cost analysis and return on investment calculations.
The bottom line is that “we are much better off since our association with the consultants at Advantage.” l’d highly recommended them for their practice assessment skills and most importantly, their ability to implement their recommendations.
