It is with extreme pleasure that I provide a letter of reference for Byrd Evans. Our practice began its conversion to EMR in 2013, quite an undertaking, particularly in a practice of our size. Advantage consultants were on site well in advance of the “Go Live” date and were wonderful in helping us through the conversion. Byrd joined us in September of 2013, her role focusing on implementation of electronic billing directly from the eMR program.
She immediately concentrated on learning our practice protocols, the medical software, and began building positive relationships with physicians, management and staff from the onset. She quickly became a go-to person.
She was instrumental in setting up processes to greatly improve our efficiencies with particular focus on generating revenue. She did this by listening to the physicians, staff and management, and devising workarounds to address some limitations of our PM/EMR system. She identified and implemented proven solutions. This is why we brought in a consulting team and Byrd far exceeded our expectations.
Byrd was able to work with all departments to accomplish her task at hand – identifying training needs, implementing same with physicians and staff on what they needed to do to not just maintain, but increase practice revenue. She not only trained in group settings; when she identified individuals who were struggling, she took the initiative to provide individual one-on-one training.
Upon our communication that she would be leaving us, it was amazing the genuine gratitude Byrd received from staff of all levels. Many commented that she needed to move to Florida and remain one of our team. Quite a tribute no doubt. Byrd not only possesses a high level of expertise, she has the ability to quickly establish positive relationships and gain respect from those with whom she will be working. I firmly believe this rare attribute was key to her (our) success.
In summary, from the business standpoint, we fully anticipated patient volume and revenue would decrease while we worked through this change. In fact, patient volume and revenues have remained consistent, far exceeding our expectations. A huge, unexpected success for which the Advantage team was key.

Sincerely,

M. Lillis Marzullo
